This refreshing Keto Ginger Lemon Detox Drink is Squeaky Clean Keto friendly, and has only 1g carbs per serving! Whole 30 compliant too!
I’ve been holding out on you guys and drinking this Keto Ginger Lemon Detox Drink for months, but hadn’t gotten around to taking photos so I wasn’t able to post it sooner. Because it’s perfect for the Squeaky Clean Keto Challenge (SCKC) as it has no sweeteners in it, now seemed like a great time to finally post it!
You can drink this keto ginger lemonade hot or iced, and it’s equally delicious and refreshing either way! I originally made it as a hot tea to combat a cold I had, and it was amazing to sip hot. Since I didn’t want to make a new single cup every time, I made a big batch and stored it in the fridge. The next day I was so sick that I drank it cold because I couldn’t bear to stand in the kitchen heating it up. It was refreshing and delicious and had the same benefits cold!
Lots of people turn to lemon water to detox and clean out their system, unfortunately lemon juice is high enough in carbs that a few glasses of the stuff could easily add up to half your carbs for the day. Because this Keto Ginger Lemon Detox Drink is made primarily with lemon zest for flavor and essential oils, there aren’t a lot of carbs.
I do add a little lemon juice at the end to give it that refreshing tartness, but it only adds up to 1g carbs per 10 ounce serving!
Everybody knows that ginger is a potent anti-inflammatory agent, so this Keto Ginger Lemon Detox Drink is a double threat when it comes to reducing inflammation! Since the SCKC is already designed to reduce inflammation, adding a couple of servings of this keto ginger lemonade to your day will boost your results even further!
I recommend drinking this keto ginger lemon detox drink as-is with no sweetener even if you aren’t on the Whole 30 or SCKC, but if you aren’t on a challenge and must add some sweetener, you absolutely can do that and enjoy it as a sweet ginger lemonade.
