Everything about these keto spicy mango mojitos screams “IT’S SUMMER,” and you’re going to want to make them ASAP! Refreshing and colorful, these low carb cocktails have a hint of heat to offset the sweet. They are keto cocktail perfection.
When we were living in Belize there was a spicy mango mojito at one of our favorite hangouts called The Truck Stop. Awesome food, drinks, pool, movie night, game night – they have it all over there. Unfortunately most of the food and cocktails are not keto friendly – or at least it wasn’t when we were living there. When I was splurging and off of keto though, the spicy mango mojito was my go-to.
Now that we are living in Honduras, mango trees are everywhere, and during the summer months when mangoes are in season, there is mango flavored ERRY-THANG. Unfortunately for me, being back on keto, “real” mangos are far too high in carbs for me to indulge in.
Fortunately, thanks to mango flavored powdered drink mixes, I can have these delicious keto spicy mango mojitos anytime I want – and not get kicked out of ketosis! I was able to find two brands of sugar free mango drink mix here in Honduras – Kool-aid and Zuko. I did some research for you and there are additional brands that you may be able to find in your stores or online if you’re living in the states or Canada.
You can make these keto spicy mango mojitos with Bai Malawi Mango, Crystal Light Peach Mango, Kool-aid Peach Mango, Sparkling Ice Orange Mango, Zevia Mango Ginger, or even Torani Sugar Free Mango Syrup (just add water.)
This is not an exhaustive list, just some options that I found for you online – your grocery store may have others.
Bear in mind that each of these will have a slightly different flavor and some of them are blends with peach or orange flavors – but all of them should play well with the jalapeño and mint called for in these keto spicy mango mojitos!
If you’re making these keto spicy mango mojitos for a crowd, I recommend adding the jalapeños and mint leaves to your mango juice mix of choice by the pitcher or jug, and let them steep for a bit to really infuse the mixer with that mint and jalapeño flavor.
Then when your ready to serve, add your rum and let people have at it! If you like your mojito sparkling, you can add a splash of club soda to your glass right before drinking – but I don’t recommend adding it to the pitcher beforehand or it will go flat rather quickly.

- 3 slices jalapeno pepper, seeds removed
- 6 – 8 fresh mint leaves
- 6 ounces sugar free mango drink of your choice (if using powdered prepare according to package instructions.)
- 2 ounces white rum
- 1 ounce club soda if desired
- Place the jalapeño slices and mint leaves in a 16 ounce glass.
- Crush with a muddler or spoon.
- Add 4 – 5 ice cubes to the glass.
- Combine the mango drink and rum in a shaker or pitcher and mix well.
- Pour into the glass of ice, jalapeño and mint.
- Stir in club soda before serving if desired.
