Keto Barbecue Seasoning Low Carb BBQ


This easy keto barbecue seasoning is made with ingredients you probably already have in your spice cabinet! It literally takes just minutes to mix together and then store for whenever the need arises!

 

 

I love barbecue, but so many of the store bought bbq seasoning brands contain sugar and fillers that add quite a lot of carbs.  For that reason, I decided to post this Keto barbecue seasoning blend that I make and use at home all the time.

 

 

 

A sublime combination of sweetener and spices, this keto barbecue seasoning tastes equally amazing on beef, pork, and chicken.  You can throw it on before grilling, sautéing, roasting, or smoking – pretty much any cooking method will work with this low carb bbq seasoning.  In fact, later this week I’m posting a super tasty keto bbq beef brisket recipe that I made in the Instant Pot using this keto barbecue seasoning, and let me tell you it was fantastic!

 

 

Making your own spice blends is super easy, and SO MUCH CHEAPER than buying them at the store or online – AND you’re fully in control of what is in them (and NOT in them,) as well as the quality of the spices used.  So do yourself a favor and start making your own spice blends at home for a fraction of the price of store-bought!

 

 

You can use all organic if you prefer, but at the very least make sure you’re using fresh herbs and spices, rather than those dusty jars with the time faded labels from the back of your cabinet –  you know the ones.

Pro Tip:  Herbs and spices do lose their potency over time, so it’s a good idea to do an overhaul of your spice drawer every 6 months or so and get rid of anything more than a year old.

 

Ingredients :

  • 1/3 cup granulated erythritol sweetener
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 4 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions :

  1. Combine all of the spices in a small bowl.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
